Associated Press. "Mitterrand Role Alleged in Greenpeace Incident." 11 Jul. 2005. [http://www.ap.org]
On 10 June 2005, "the daily Le Monde published extracts of a 23-page, handwritten account by Adm. Pierre Lacoste, former head of the DGSE spy agency, in which he says [the late President Francois] Mitterrand authorized the bombing of the Rainbow Warrior in Auckland's port.... The newspaper said that Lacoste prepared the report a year after the bombing and that it had remained secret since."

Clark comment: Prieur was "Mrs. Turenge" in the DGSE operation to sink the Greenpeace ship Rainbow Warrior. Pennetier, I&NS 11.4, notes that the book "does not contain any major revelations" about the operation. Prieur does, however, provide "insight into the preparation" of the operation, some aspects of which she criticizes.
